The Channel Islands are situated in the Bay of St. Malo of the west coast of France but are part of the British Isles. The Channel Islands consist of the Bailiwicks of Guernsey and Jersey. The Bailiwick of Guernsey is made up of the Islands of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm, Brechou and Jethou plus several smaller Islands.

 
The Island of Guernsey is approximately 9 miles x 5 miles in a triangular shape covering an area of approximately 25 sq miles (65 sq km). It has a population of approximately 60,000 people which can double in the summer season.
The Island has long sandy beaches on the north and west coasts and rocky cliffs along the south coast. The east coast has the majority of the smaller Islands off shore. The main town is St. Peter Port also on the east coast. Exports include diary products, fruits, flowers, vegetables and Guernsey cattle. The Island is also a world renowned financial centre and tourist destination. There are special events, such as Floral Guernsey in June and food festivals in April and September.
Guernsey is self governing and consequently has legislation different to the U.K. and Jersey, for instance, at 14 years of age you can ride a de-restricted 50cc scooter and at 16 years of age a machine up to 125cc.
 
Guernsey also has a long history of motorcycle sport we have karting at the Track all year, moto-x in the winter at Pleinmont, sprinting and sand racing in the summer at Vazon, as well as hill climbing in St. Peter Port at Les Val des Terres - including a leg of the national circuit and trials all over the Island.
Trev’s Motorcycles is in the north end of the Island at L’Ancresse, not far from the main golf course, Common and one of the best beaches.
